Yum! recently announced that it expects that its China same-store sales to fall 6 percent during Q4 compared to its previous estimate of down 4 percent because of concerns regarding the quality of the food there, influencing RBC Capital to note that the impact to sales caused by these types of concerns typically dissipate quickly. Furthermore, the firm has stated that purchasing Yum! on weakness in China has a history of working, and the firm keeps its Outperform rating on the stock.
