These Are the Lowest-Paid Trump Administration Employees
When you hear that someone works in the White House, you might automatically assume he or she is making a lot of money. However, this isn’t necessarily true. Although some make the maximum salary of $179,700, others make a lot less.
Because of the recent mass exodus, many of the people on the White House salary list aren’t working there anymore. But that won’t stop us from taking a look at some of the salaries of White House employees, both past and present. Let’s begin, shall we?
Here are some of the lowest-paid Trump administration employees.
- Salary: $70,000
Part of Donald Trump’s job involves giving speeches. Fortunately, he has someone to help him with that. Brittany Baldwin is Trump’s speechwriter. As of this writing, she earns an annual salary of $70,000. She has the tough job of crafting eloquent speeches for the president. Before stepping into this role she was a press assistant for the United States Senate and speechwriter for Senator Ted Cruz.

- Salary: $62,000
Sofia Boza-Holman is the director of strategic media. As of this writing, her annual salary is $62,000. Before taking on this role, she was the regional communications director from January 2017 to January 2018. Before that she served as the director of strategic media for the presidential inaugural committee from December 2016 to January 2017.

- Salary: $56,000
Natalie Strom is the former assistant press secretary. She had the challenging job of handling communication with the media, yet earned just $56,000. Strom left the White House earlier in 2018 and now works with the United States Security and Exchange Commission. Politico reports Strom will manage communications for SEC Chairman Jay Clayton.

- Salary: $30,000
Chris Liddell serves as the White House deputy chief of staff for policy coordination. He took on this role in March 2018. This job requires him to oversee and coordinate Trump’s policy process, reports The Washington Post. Prior to this role, Liddell was the assistant to the president for strategic initiatives. He is a former Microsoft and General Motors executive.

- Salary: $30,000
Gary Cohn is an investment banker and Trump’s former chief economic adviser. In addition, he was the 11th director of the National Economic Council and president and chief operating officer of Goldman Sachs from 2006 to 2017. Cohn resigned from his position at the White House in March 2018.

- Salary: $0
Jared Kushner, husband of Ivanka Trump, serves as assistant to the president and senior advisor. Despite his impressive title, he doesn’t earn a salary for his White House contributions. Kushner made headlines recently after his White House security clearance was downgraded. Consequently, he will have reduced access to highly classified information.

- Salary: $0
Ivanka Trump is also not paid for her service. She works as adviser to the president. Ivanka and Jared were in the spotlight recently when the state of their finances was revealed. Much to the surprise of almost everyone, the couple is in a lot of personal debt. Perhaps a pay raise is in order. A revised financial disclosure form published by Politico revealed Jared Kushner withdrew millions of dollars from three separate credit lines a few months after he joined the White House. He and Ivanka are also thousands of dollars in credit card debt.

Jared and Ivanka weren’t the only White House staffers who made $0. They were also joined by real estate developer Reed Cordish. He is the former assistant to the president for intergovernmental and technology initiatives. Cordish left this position in February 2018. Before this he was a partner at the Cordish Companies.

As of this writing, Counselor to the President Kellyanne Conway, Director of Social Media Matt Scavino, and Senior Policy Advisor Stephen Miller are among the current staff members who earn the maximum salary of $179,700. Hope Hicks, Steve Bannon, and Omarosa Manigault, are a few of the past staff member who earned the maximum salary during their White House tenure.
