McDonald’s Adds 3 Quarter Pounders and 2 Other Dow Movers to Watch

McDonald’s Corporation (NYSE:MCD): Current price $100.39

The fast food behemoth is upsizing its menu with three new Quarter Pounders, as it looks to offer less expensive premium burgers while capitalizing on one of its most popular brands. McDonald’s reports that the new burgers will replace its Angus Third Pounders, which were some of the most expensive items on its menu at between $4 and $5. The new arrivals will be two of the same varieties as the Angus burgers — Bacon, Cheese, and Deluxe — and the third option will be Habanero Ranch. McDonald’s also said that the new burgers will launch nationally in mid-June. What is more, the new Quarter Pounder line will use a bun that has eight grams of whole grains, while the original Quarter Pounder keep its regular bun.
