Microsoft Corp. (NASDAQ:MSFT): Microsoft may reveal Halo 4 at a Spring Showcase in San Francisco on February 29, Business Insider reports, citing rumors from IGN. The shares closed at $30.24, up $0.29 or 0.97% on the day. They have traded in a 52-week range of $23.65 to $30.17.
Las Vegas Sands (NYSE:LVS): Florida’s House Business and Consumer Affairs Subcommittee will take up a proposal that would allow $2B “destination casinos” and would also set up a new gambling regulation agency, ban Internet cafes and cut racino taxes in what will be its first, and possibly only, hearing by House members, according to The Sun Sentinel. The shares closed at $51.91, up $0.84 or 1.64% on the day. They have traded in a 52-week range of $36.05 to $51.87.
Macy’s Inc (NYSE:M): Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia (NYSE:MSO) contends that a loophole in its contract with Macy’s (NYSE:M), which allows the home-goods company to sell any product from a Martha Stewart Living Store, will also let the company sell its products in J.C. Penney (NYSE:JCP) without a breach of contract, reported Reuters. The shares closed at $36.12, up $0.89 or 2.53% on the day. They have traded in a 52-week range of $22.04 to $35.92.
Mastercard Inc. (NYSE:MA): Mastercard reported stronger than expected earnings. The shares closed at $390.32, up $8.75 or 2.29% on the day. They have traded in a 52-week range of $240.36 to $384.99.
Lockheed Martin Corp (NYSE:LMT): The Missile Defense Agency is announcing the award of a sole-source indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract to Lockheed Martin Corp., Sunnyvale, Calif. The total ceiling award value is $515,400,000. Under this follow-on contract, the contractor will be responsible for development, integration, and testing of any upgrades to the Terminal High Altitude Area Defense system. The shares closed at $84.59, up $1.42 or 1.71% on the day. They have traded in a 52-week range of $66.36 to $83.72.
