Microsoft Office Mobile Now Available for Android Phones and 2 Other Hot Stocks to Watch

Microsoft Office Mobile is now available for Android phones. The application sports optimized versions of Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, and lets users make simple edits to documents, open email attachments, and automatically save their progress to Microsoft’s online cloud storage service, SkyDrive. Also included is a recent documents tab, through which users can retrieve documents from a computer, as well as a presentation view for PowerPoint. The only problems are that while Office Mobile is a free application, users must subscribe to Office 365 and be running Android OS 4.0 or later.


Sirius XM Radio Inc. (NASDAQ:SIRI): Current price $3.74

Sirius XM said Wednesday that it will be the exclusive home to legendary radio personality Art Bell, who is returning to radio with a live nightly call-in show on which he will examine the paranormal, the unexplained, and more with guests and listeners. Art Bell’s Dark Matter will have its debut in the fall on Indie, SiriusXM channel 104, airing each night from 10 p.m. to 1 a.m. Eastern. Bell will host the show from his home studio in Pahrump, Nevada.


Riverbed Technology Inc. (NASDAQ:RVBD): Current price $15.57

Riverbed shares are down almost 12 percent in late-morning trading Wednesday after the computer networking equipment manufacturer released its second-quarter report and forecast indicating that it is being impacted by lower U.S. government spending on its products. The firm moved to a loss in the quarter ended June 30, primarily due to accounting charges connected with past purchases. The firm posted a loss of $16.5 million, or 10 cents per share, in the second quarter versus net income of $18.1 million, or 11 cents per share, year-over-year.
