Microsoft Corp. (NASDAQ:MSFT): Microsoft has hired Randall Long, a senior FTC attorney who led several of the agency’s antitrust investigations into Google (NASDAQ:GOOG), reports the Wall Street Journal. Beginning at the end of March, Long will become a director of regulatory affairs in Washington, D.C. The shares closed at $32.29, up $0.55 or 1.73% on the day. They have traded in a 52-week range of $23.65 to $32.00.

Ross Stores (NASDAQ:ROST): Ross Stores reported February SSS up 9%. The shares closed at $54.25, up $0.92 or 1.73% on the day. They have traded in a 52-week range of $33.50 to $53.71.

Sara Lee Corp. (NYSE:SLE): Sara Lee is planning to flat its coffee and tea business on the Amsterdam stock exchange, MarketWatch reports, citing Het Financieele Dagblad. The floatation may occur in May or June, and plans could be announced today or tomorrow. The shares closed at $20.39, up $0.14 or 0.69% on the day. They have traded in a 52-week range of $15.66 to $20.57.

Tjx Companies (NYSE:TJX): TJX reported February SSS up 9%. The shares closed at $37.09, up $0.48 or 1.31% on the day. They have traded in a 52-week range of $24.125 to $37.07.

U.S. Bancorp (NYSE:USB): Cash bonuses on Wall Street last year are expected to have fallen 14% from 2010 to $19.7B from $22.8B, according to a report released by New York state Comptroller Thomas DiNapoli, reports the Wall Street Journal. The shares closed at $29.71, up $0.31 or 1.05% on the day. They have traded in a 52-week range of $20.10 to $29.74.
