Microsoft Xbox One Rival PlayStation 4 to Launch in November and 2 More Heavily Traded Stocks to Follow

Microsoft Corp. (NASDAQ:MSFT): Current price $31.67

On Tuesday at the Gamescon conference in Cologne, Sony Corp. said that it will debut its new PlayStation 4 videogame console on November 15 in North America and in Europe on November 29. The PlayStation 4 will go for  a starting price at $399 and compete with the Xbox One from Microsoft, which is also set for a November launch, although thus far no specific date has beenreleased.


Advanced Micro Devices (NYSE:AMD): Current price $3.64

AMD announced on Tuesday new CPU offerings for its AMD Embedded R-Series high-performance computing platform together with the intro of a discrete GPU promotional program to permit embedded designers additional choices for addressing demanding performance needs. The new options include quad-core and dual-core CPUs scaling from 2.2 to 3.2 gigahertz with Thermal Design Power ranging from 17 to 35 watts for applications which require high performance x86 compute such as network attached storage.


Novavax Inc. (NASDAQ:NVAX): Current price $2.97

Novavax shares are up just under 3 percent in late afternoon trading after analyst William Tanner at Lazard Capital wrote that the firm’s vaccine against a prevalent respiratory virus could be more effective than a rival product, who observed that the vaccine “could be one of the most underappreciated assets in the industry,” as he raised his price target on the shares from $4 to $11. Tanner wrote in a note to investors that Novax’s vaccine against respiratory syncytial virus could be more effective than a competing product, Synagis.
