National Bank of Greece (NYSE:NBG): Current price $6.78
The biggest lender in Greece has reported a profit for the second straight quarter, aided by its Turkish subsidiary Finansbank, along with lower funding costs and provisions for bad debt. The National Bank reported a net profit of 27 million euros in the first quarter, versus a loss of 731 million year-over-year from 2012. Beyond that, NBG said that loan-loss provisions fell to 428 million euros from 505 million.

On Thursday, Sirius said that it will broadcast Boston Strong: An Evening of Support and Celebration, a concert to help the people most impacted by the events at the Boston Marathon, on Jimmy Buffett’s Radio Margaritaville channel. The concert will be held at the TD Garden, and will be broadcast live on Radio Margaritaville, via satellite on channel 24, and through the SiriusXM Internet Radio App on smartphones and other connected devices, and online at siriusxm.com, on May 30th at 7:00 pm Eastern Time. Peabody Energy Corp. (NYSE:BTU): Current price $20.99
The bankruptcy court ruled Thursday on Patriot Coal’s motion to end its collective bargaining accord with the UMWA, and also addressed Patriot’s request to alter its agreement with Peabody, in regards to retiree benefits. In its decision, the court fully agreed with Peabody’s contractual position. The company will continue to meet its obligations, as affirmed by the rulings.
