New Research in Motion CEO Delusion: Innovation Caused Our Downfall

Research in Motion (NASDAQ:RIMM) is now trying their hand at improv comedy — corporate exec style. New CEO Thorsten Heins says RIM’s collapse has been primarily caused because (punchline) “Sometimes we innovate too much.”

ROTFLMAO. Really? That has to be a joke because Research in Motion is in the trashcan for the exact opposite reason: RIM has FAILED to innovate after their bleeding edge mobile email push technology. Since then, Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL) and Google (NASDAQ:GOOG) beat them to consumer friendly, app-driven smartphones. Apple and Samsung beat Research in Motion to the tablet market.

So, when you watch this video keep in mind it’s actually delusional corporate speak that should elicit laughter (rather than some sort of accurate description of reality):
