A 47-year-old woman identified as the former long-time assistant to News of the World executive Rebekah Brooks wasarrested on Friday as part of a long-running probe into News Corp.’s (NASDAQ:NWSA) now defunct tabloid. NWSA shares closed at $18.30, down $0.19 or 1.03% on the day. They have traded in a 52-week range of $13.38 to $18.66.

Tjx Companies (NYSE:TJX) announced a 2-for-1 stocks split. The discount retailer also reported Sale Store Sales up 8% in December. The shares closed at $66.46, up $0.15 or 0.23% on the day. They have traded in a 52-week range of $45.26 to $66.95.

Yum! Brands (NYSE:YUM) announced the privatization proposal for Little Sheep Group has been approved by the independent shareholders of Little Sheep. Yum is offering Little Sheep scheme shareholders HK $6.50 cash per Scheme share and is offering holders of options to subscribe for shares in Little Sheep HK $4.39 per option to cancel such options. Yum shares closed at $59.85, up $0.43 or 0.72% on the day. They have traded in a 52-week range of $46.27 to $59.98.
