Anadarko Petroleum Corp (NYSE:APC) will unveil its latest earnings on Monday, February 6, 2012. The average estimate of analysts is for profit of 60 cents per share, a rise of more than twofold from the company’s actual earnings for the same quarter a year ago. During the past three months, the average estimate has moved up from 55 cents. Between one and three months ago, the average estimate moved up. It has risen from 59 cents during the last month. Analysts are projecting profit to rise by 71.8% versus last year to $3.11.
Last quarter, the company missed estimates by one cent, coming in at net income of 65 cents per share versus a mean estimate of profit of 66 cents per share. In the second quarter, the company beat estimates by 18 cents. On average, analysts predict $3.28 billion in revenue this quarter, a rise of 21.9% from the year ago quarter. Analysts are forecasting total revenue of $13.44 billion for the year, a rise of 22.4% from last year’s revenue of $10.98 billion.

During the past three months, the average estimate has moved up from 86 cents. Between one and three months ago, the average estimate moved up. It has risen from 95 cents during the last month. For the year, analysts are projecting net income of $3.80 per share, a rise of more than twofold from last year.
The company has beaten estimates the last four quarters and is coming off a quarter where it topped forecasts by 46 cents, reporting profit of $1.35 per share against a mean estimate of net income of 89 cents per share. Analysts are projecting a rise of 46.2% in revenue from the year-earlier quarter to $689.9 million.
