A Look Back: In the third quarter, profit rose 4.1% to $2 billion ($1.25 a share) from $1.92 billion ($1.19 a share) the year earlier, exceeding analyst expectations. Revenue rose 13.3% to $17.58 billion from $15.51 billion.

The company has enjoyed double-digit year-over-year percentage revenue growth for the past four quarters. Over that span, the company has averaged growth of 22.7%, with the biggest boost coming in the fourth quarter of the last fiscal year when revenue rose 36.5% from the year earlier quarter.

The company has seen net income rise in two straight quarters. In the second quarter, profit rose 17.6%.
