Qualcomm Extends Funding to Macheen and 4 Chip and Big Data Stocks on the Move

Broadcom Corp. (NASDAQ:BRCM) EPS forecast has been increased by Citigroup in a research report that was released on Thursday morning. As of now, Citigroup has a $41.00 price target on the stock.

QUALCOMM Incorporated (NASDAQ:QCOM) funding has been increased by Macheen, so the company is able to keep working on ways to solve the Internet access problem for e-readers, gaming devices, cameras, and various other new portable devices. The Austin, Texas, startup developed a mobile cloud allowing customers to sign up for individual apps and services on various devices without having to purchase a comprehensive data plan.

ARM Holdings plc (NASDAQ:ARMH): London shares declined on Friday, as the FTSE 100 index of leading companies dropped 0.06 percent to close at 5,866.82 points in the midst of indications that the US’ fiscal cliff negotiations have failed to more forward. Microchip designer ARM Holdings was the biggest gainer, as shares 1.51 percent, or 11.50 points, to 774.00 while rumors continue that there will be a bid from US giant Intel.

EMC Corporation (NYSE:EMC) was given a Buy rating and a $28.00 price target on the stock on Thursday.

VMware, Inc. (NYSE:VMW) will release major updates to its vCloud Suite infrastructure platform, and the majority has to do with speeding up automation tools for cloud management. Already, in October, the company introduced additional cloud management updates for the vCloud Suite back at VMworld Europe in Barcelona, but the introductions today consists of the vCenter Operations Management Suite 5.6 along with vFabric Application Director 5.0. Basically, Version 5.6 of vCenter is to offer IT managers with a deep dive view into application monitoring as it has also begun to scale back to give group-level visibility. The upgrade for the vFabric Director shows more significance, and the v5.0 should ease and speed up multi-tier app deployments to any cloud infrastructure (including Amazon EC2) with a new blueprint.
