AOL Announces SPECIAL Dividend and 2 Hot Stocks to Watch

In moves to return the whole of the proceeds of its $1.1 billion patent sale, AOL, Inc. (NYSE:AOL) announces a special dividend of $5.15 per share and a repurchase of $600 million of stock under an accelerated stock-repurchase agreement with Barclays Bank PLC.

After Intel (NASDAQ:INTC) and TSMC (NYSE:TSM), Samsung (SSNLF.PK) invests 276 million euros for R&D in Dutch chip-equipment maker ASML. In addition, Samsung is paying 503 million euros for a 3 percent stake in ASML. Cumulative amounts invested by the three chip-makers in ASML are 1.38 billion euros for R&D and 3.85 billion euros towards equity investment.

Banking is no longer the highly lucrative career it used to be, as Deutsche Bank (NYSE:DB) takes the initiative to expand the scope of clawbacks including the capacity to make employees forfeit stock earned at past employers.
