SanDisk Patent Approved and 4 Chip and Big Data Stocks on the Move

Intel Corporation (NASDAQ:INTC):  According to sources, Sharp (SHCAY) is talking about selling small and mid-sized LCD panels to Intel (NASDAQ:INTC). They also plan to sell their United States solar unit, Recurrent Energy.

Broadcom Corp. (NASDAQ:BRCM):  iFixit’s examination of Apple’s (NASDAQ:AAPL) iPhone 5, confirms Qualcomm (NASDAQ:QCOM) chips for the 4G LTE modem and multi-band/mode RF transceiver. Chips in the phone also come from STMicroelectronics (NYSE:STM), Texas Instruments (NYSE:TXN), Broadcom (NASDAQ:BRCM), Skyworks (NASDAQ:SWKS), Triquint (NASDAQ:TQNT), and Avago (NASDAQ:AVGO).

QUALCOMM Incorporated (NASDAQ:QCOM):  Qualcomm Incorporated, has updated their Vellamo Benchmark Suite, with greater emphasis on HTML5 and Javascript, while bringing out support for Intel’s Medfield processors. In addition to this, the firm has included a video streaming test and has built a version for Android on x86, so that smartphones based on Intel’s Medfield processors can also be tested.

ARM Holdings PLC. (NASDAQ:ARMH):  According to a prominent semi-conductor analyst, the A6 processor, at the heart of the Apple iPhone 5 smartphone, uses an ARM-compatible processor core rather than the Cortex-A15 processor core licensed from ARM Holdings PLC.

SanDisk Corp. (NASDAQ:SNDK):  SanDisk Corporation 3D, Milpitas developed by Roy E. Scheuerlein, Cupertino, California, has been assigned a patent (8,270,202) by the United States Patent and Trademark Office, for a “programming non-volatile storage element using the current from another element.
