SAP CEOs Bill McDermott and Jim Snabe on Tax Reforms

SAP (NYSE:SAP) co-CEOs Bill McDermott and Jim Snabe spoke with FOX Business Network about President Obama’s proposed tax changes and their take on the economy. McDermott spoke about whether the proposed tax changes would influence SAP’s strategy, saying, “We’re focused on innovation and growth and frankly I don’t think the tax picture is going to influence our strategy one way or another.” Snabe discussed the current conditions for entrepreneurs in the U.S. and said, “We believe a lot of growth in the world will come from the small and medium-sized companies.”

Bill McDermott on if proposed tax changes will influence SAP’s strategy:

“We’re focused on innovation and growth and frankly I don’t think the tax picture is going to influence our strategy one way or another. The issue right now is how do you innovate, grow your business, how do we get CEOs to capitalize on the global economy that has massive potential.”

Jim Snabe on if proposed tax changes will influence SAP’s strategy:

“At the end of the day, the success of the company is its ability to innovate and grow. We need to stay focused on that.”

McDermott on what’s driving the success of the company:

“We are in touch with the customer. We have a vision to make the world run better and improve people’s lives.”

Snabe on the current conditions for entrepreneurs in the US:

“We believe a lot of growth in the world will come from the small and medium-sized companies. We have a very strong program in bringing our advanced technology that was created with the biggest and most ambitious companies in this world to the little ones.”

Bill McDermott on if the co-CEO format works well for SAG:

“It’s not only working but it might be the template for other companies in the future.”
