Shares of Qihoo, Rogers, Rue21, Sears Holdings Hit Annual Stock Price Low Point

As the majority of the first week of trading in the new year has been somewhat flat, here are companies facing selling headwinds with their shareholders and why:

Qihoo 360 Technology (NYSE:QIHU): Qihoo 360 Technology closed at $14.51, up $0.53 or 3.79 percent. Their 52-week trading range has been $13.71 to $14.72. Citron Research is not relenting in its attack (I, II, III) on Qihoo 360. The latest barb is “Qihoo 360 is Committing Fraud – Plain and Simple,” and refuting each and every comment by CFO Alex Xu defending reports of OIHU sales figures.

Rogers Corp. (NYSE:ROG): Rogers Corp. closed at $33.66, down $2.42 or 6.71 percent. Their 52-week trading range has been$32.19 to $34.85. Rogers opened down -9.3% after cutting fourth quarter guidance on earnings-per-share from $0.43-$0.53 to $0.22-$0.32.  Rogers Corp. cited continuing slow demand in wireless infrastructure, but expects order to pick up in the first half of 2012.

Rue21 (NASDAQ:RUE): Rue21 closed at $20.23, down $0.78 or 3.71 percent. Their 52-week trading range has been$20.15 to $20.78. Rue21 reported flat revenue for stores open at least a year, and it missed second quarter consensus earnings-per-share (NYSE:EPS) by one cent. The company hangs on to fiscal year 2011 EPS forecast of $1.50-$1.54, seeing third quarter comparable store sale in low single digits. Down 11% premarket.

Sears Holdings Corp. (NASDAQ:SHLD): Sears closed at $30.12, down $0.68 or 2.21 percent. Their 52-week trading range has been $28.89 to $31.00. Moody’s lowered Sears Holdings Corporate Family and Probability of Default Ratings from B1 to B3, citing the probability of fiscal year 2011 major operating losses and negative outlook.

Solera Holdings (NYSE:SLH): Solera Holdings closed at $43.91, down $0.29 or 0.66 percent. Their 52-week trading range has been$43.43 to $44.19. Barron anticipate good things for Solera Holdings’ (NYSE:SLH), fourth quarter earnings due Wednesday. Gas prices haven’t hurt the auto-insurance company in the U.S. am Solera has experience solid international growth.
