Social Media ETF: These Equity Components are Sketchy

Global X Funds is looking to capitalize on the social media rage with a targeted ETF Global X Social Media Index ETF (NASDAQ:SOCL). The Global X Social Media Index ETF will track the Solactive Social Media Index, which is designed to reflect the equity performance of companies involved in the social media industry. That is a BROAD category.

As you can see below, even a dieting company like NutriSystem Inc. (NASDAQ:NTRI) meets their definition for inclusion. I don’t know about you, but I don’t want exposure to NutriSystem or half these companies if I am looking to benefit from the social media trend.
