S&P 500 Executive Insider Stock Trades to Analyze in February

Wall St. Watchdog reveals information about insider trades in the constituent companies of the S&P 500 for February:

Sergey Brin who is Co-Founder at Google Inc. (NASDAQ:GOOG), sold 83,334 shares at $606.81 per share for a total value of $50,567,773. The shares recently traded at $609.85, up $3.04, or 0.5% since the insider sale.

Google (NASDAQ:GOOG) plans to send a letter to standards organizations reassuring them that it will license Motorola Mobility Holdings (NYSE:MMI) patents on a fair and reasonable basis, sources say, reports Bloomberg Businessweek.

Mark Loughridge who is Sr. VP and CFO at International Business Machines Corp. (NYSE:IBM), sold 29,449 shares at $192.00 per share for a total value of $5,654,208. The shares recently traded at $192.95, up $0.95, or 0.49% since the insider sale.

DemandTec (NASDAQ:DMAN) entered into a memorandum of understanding regarding the settlement of a putative class action lawsuit filed in the Superior Court of California in response to the announcement of a merger agreement between DemandTec and International Business Machines (NYSE:IBM), the company disclosed in a regulatory filing. Under the terms of the MOU, DemandTec, the other defendants and the plaintiff have agreed to settle the suit and release the defendants from all claims relating to the merger, subject to approval by the court. The settlement will not affect the consideration to be paid to DemandTec’s stockholders in connection with the merger or the timing of the special meeting of DemandTec’s stockholders, which is scheduled for February 14.

William A Jr Blase who is Sr. Exec. VP-Human Resources at AT&T, Inc. (NYSE:T), sold 15,000 shares at $29.99 per share for a total value of $449,850. The shares recently traded at $30.02, up $0.03, or 0.1% since the insider sale.

Wireless startup LightSquared asked the FCC to set tough standards for the design of GPS devices, according to The Hill. The company is developing a wireless broadband service and tests showed that the service could interfere with GPS devices, but LightSquared counters that the GPS devices are receiving signals from outside their designated frequency bands, the publication reported.

David W Beier who is SVP, Global Govt Affairs at Amgen Inc. (NASDAQ:AMGN), sold 20,000 shares at $68.88 per share for a total value of $1,377,678. The shares recently traded at $68.06, down $0.82, or 1.19% since the insider sale.

Amgen is discussing data from its supplemental Biologics License Application for Xgeva to treat men with castration-resistant prostate cancer at high risk of developing bone metastases at today’s FDA’s Oncologic Drugs Advisory Committee meeting. Deutsche Bank, in a mid-morning note to investors, said the meeting is not progressing well and that the panel is unlikely to recommend approval.
