S&P 500 Stocks: Executive Insider Trades in 2012

Wall St. Watchdog reveals information about insider trades in the constituent companies of the S&P 500 recently:

Robert J Mansfield who is Senior Vice President at Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL), sold 30,000 shares at $452.28 per share for a total value of $13,568,529. The shares recently traded at $456.48, up $4.2, or 0.93% since the insider sale.

In the three months ending December 31, Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL) sold a record 37M iPhones worldwide, besting devices using Google’s (NASDAQ:GOOG) Android operating system, and ending speculation that demand might be eroded, reports Bloomberg. Of the 9.4M devices activated by AT&T (NYSE:T), 7.6M were iPhones. Verizon Wireless (VZ, VOD) said 56% of its 7.7M smartphones were iPhones. Samsung was second in shipments.

James T Murrin who is SVP, Controller & PAO at Hewlett-Packard Company (NYSE:HPQ), sold 30,000 shares at $27.28 per share for a total value of $818,400. The shares recently traded at $27.98, up $0.7, or 2.57% since the insider sale.

Hewlett-Packard (NYSE:HPQ) issued the following statement in response to a ruling in the ongoing litigation with Oracle (NASDAQ:ORCL) relating to the Intel Itanium platform: “HP is pleased that the Superior Court of the State of California, Santa Clara County, has rejected Oracle’s attempt to use a fraud claim to undo its contract with HP. We look forward to seeing the facts made public that demonstrate how Oracle’s March 2011 announcement to no longer develop software for Itanium servers was part of a calculated business strategy to drive hardware sales from Itanium to inferior Sun servers. This further demonstrates the fact that Oracle breached its contractual commitment to HP and ignored its repeated promises of support to our shared customers.”

M Jacobsrwin who is Director at QUALCOMM Incorporated (NASDAQ:QCOM), sold 12,500 shares at $57.34 per share for a total value of $716,750. The shares recently traded at $58.82, up $1.48, or 2.58% since the insider sale.

John B Hess who is Chairman of the Board and CEO at Hess Corporation (NYSE:HES), bought 91,250 shares at $54.79 per share for a total value of $4,999,414. The shares recently traded at $56.3, up $1.51, or 2.76% since the insider buy.

Daniel R Dimicco who is CHAIRMAN AND CEO at Nucor Corporation (NYSE:NUE), sold 19,524 shares at $44.53 per share for a total value of $869,338. The shares recently traded at $44.49, down $0.04, or 0.09% since the insider sale.

Hamilton Jr Lott who is EXECUTIVE VICE PRESIDENT at Nucor Corporation (NYSE:NUE), sold 8,134 shares at $44.34 per share for a total value of $360,663. The shares recently traded at $44.49, up $0.15, or 0.34% since the insider sale.

Paul F Gallagher who is Executive Vice President at HCP, Inc. (NYSE:HCP), sold 79,401 shares at $41.23 per share for a total value of $3,273,703. The shares recently traded at $42.03, up $0.8, or 1.94% since the insider sale.
