Sprint and Verizon’s 4G has Crushed Shares of This Telecom Company

Rallying strongly, Anadigics (NASDAQ:ANAD) posted Q3 revenue of $37.3 million (-39% Y/Y) and EPS of -$0.12. Anadigics (NASDAQ:ANAD), a maker of mobile phone power amplifiers, beat consensus by $1.4 million and $0.03.

Anadigics (NASDAQ:ANAD) stock has been in deep trouble as Sprint (NYSE:S) and Verizon’s (NYSE:VZ) rollout of 4G networks led to declining shipments of the company’s 3G EV-DO amplifiers.

This type of business is extremely capital intensive and if competitors take too much market share, Anadigics can lose a lot of money … fast.
