Stock Insights: Marvell Technology, Groupon, Microsoft, J. C. Penney, Accretive Health May 15th

Marvell Technology Group Ltd. (NASDAQ:MRVL): FBR Capitals thinks Marvell Technology’s Q1 sales tracked in the upper half of guidance and that earnings could top the consensus estimate of 20c by one or two cents. FBR thinks the company’s results and guidance on May 17 could bring some relief to the stock and maintains an Outperform rating on the name.

Groupon Inc (NASDAQ:GRPN): Groupon price target raised to $20 from $17 at BofA/Merrill.

Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT): Morgan Stanley expects Microsoft’s Windows 8 Release Preview the first week of June, which should have favorable reviews, and for Windows 8 Server sometime in the Summer or Fall. Additionally, the analyst expects a dividend increase that could be larger than expected sometime in mid-September. The firm views Microsoft risk/reward as attractive and reiterates its Overweight rating and $37 price target.

J. C. Penney Company, Inc. (NYSE:JCP): Baird lowered its price target on J.P. Penney to reflect softer sales and restructuring charges. The firm sees limited near-term upside and maintains its Neutral rating.

Accretive Health, Inc. (NYSE:AH): After speaking with legal experts, Oppenheimer reports that the experts think that Minnesota’s case against Accretive Health is relatively weak, and that the two sides are likely to settle. The firm suggests that the two sides could settle relatively early in the legal process and it maintains an Outperform rating on Accretive Health.
