Tech Biz Replay: Apple’s FUTURE Hardware, Google’s Retail STORES

Images of Apple’s (NASDAQ:AAPL) future hardware have been ‘leaked’, which show the next iPhone with a larger display and smaller dock connector, that is in-line with previous rumors. In the meantime, schematics for the iPad Mini imply that the tablet will be 7.87 inches tall and 5.3 inches wide, and should be as thin as an iPod Touch.

Chatter is rising that Google (NASDAQ:GOOG) could begin opening retail stores after seeing its competitors Apple, with 300 open, and Microsoft (NASDAQ:MSFT) with 44 stores planned move in. For the present, the Google has only set up Chrome Zones in Best Buy (NYSE:BBY) stores and other chosen locations, but the firm’s future strategy might include a major investment by which to promote and protects its brand. It’s also believes that Google stores could pose a significant threat to office supply stores and electronics retailers, depending upon what sort of products are sold in them and how distributions arrangements are worked out.
