The current ratio is an indication of a firm’s liquidity and ability to meet creditor demands and generally, a ratio less than one could indicate a company may have difficulty meeting current obligations.
The company is trying to use this earnings announcement to rebound from profit declines in the last three quarters. Net income fell 6.2% in the fourth quarter of the last fiscal year, by 2.3% in the first quarter and again in the second quarter.
On the top line, the company is hoping to use this earnings announcement to snap a string of three-straight quarters of revenue declines. Revenue fell 3.2% in the fourth quarter of the last fiscal year and 8.3% in first quarter before falling again in the second quarter.
