If you’re in the market for a new home, you’re probably doing a lot of research. Fortunately, the folks over at Realtor.com did some of the legwork for you when it comes to the hottest neighborhoods.

They conducted a study ranking how hot a ZIP code was according to how long it took a home to sell and how often that market was viewed on Realtor.com. Here are the hottest ZIP codes of 2018 according to data released by Realtor.com to The Cheat Sheet.

10. 07043: Upper Montclair, N.J.

  • Average days on the market: 22 days, roughly 23% faster than 2017
  • Median list price: $762,350
  • Home ownership rates for all households: 83%
  • Home ownership rate for millennials: 51%

Upper Montclair, New Jersey, is ideal for those seeking a family-friendly neighborhood. One perk of the area is that it offers an easy commute to New York City. However, living in this small town will cost you a pretty penny. Realtor.com reports the median income is $176,182, which is nearly triple the U.S. median income of $61,045.


9. 14624: Rochester, N.Y.

  • Average days on the market: 22 days, roughly 29% faster than 2017
  • Median list price: $131,964
  • Home ownership rates for all households: 80%
  • Home ownership rate for millennials: 64%

Most millennial home buyers are purchasing homes in Rochester’s downtown area and the surrounding suburbs. Rochester used to be known for its print and film services because it was home to Kodak’s headquarters. Today, however, Rochester is known for health systems and higher education. Strong Memorial Hospital and the University of Rochester are Rochester’s two largest employers.


8. 66210: Overland Park, Kansas

  • Average days on the market: 24 days, one day slower than 2017 but 42 days faster than the U.S. overall
  • Median list price: $261,927
  • Home ownership rate for millennials: 36%

Overland Park was recently named one of Money magazine’s best places to live. Realtor.com reports homes in the area are 34% less expensive than Johnson County, Kansas, as a whole. Overland Park also has a highly rated school system.


7. 43085: Worthington, Ohio

  • Average days on the market: 25 days, about 11 days faster than the rest of the county
  • Median list price: $291,305
  • Home ownership rate for all households: 74%
  • Home ownership rate for millennials: 52%

Young families are drawn to this neighborhood. The area, which is close to The Ohio State University, is an affluent neighborhood, and is known for its strong schools.


6. 83704: Boise, Idaho

  • Average days on the market: 23 days, about 43 days faster than the rest of the U.S.
  • Median list price: $251,324
  • Homeownership rate for millennials: 27%

Boise was recently named one of Money magazine’s best places to live. Ada County is among the top five most popular markets for Bay Area California residents looking to move out of the state.


 5. 01960: Peabody, Massachusetts

  • Average days on the market: 20 days, 46 days more quickly than the rest of the country
  • Median list price: $424,685
  • Home ownership rate for millennials: 32%

This area is headquarters to Analogic Corporation and Tradewin Consulting Services, which are among the largest employers in Peabody.


4. 94546: Castro Valley, California

  • Average days on the market: 16 days, about 50 days faster than the rest of the country
  • Median list price: $784,238
  • Home ownership rate for millennials: 38%

The Castro Valley neighborhood is known for its affordability, with homes costing 5% less than the rest of the U.S. and 17% less than the metro area.


3. 76148: Watauga, Texas

  • Average days on the market: 15 days, 3% faster than 2017
  • Median list price: $183,576
  • Home ownership rate for millennials: 33%

This area caters to young families looking for good schools. According to Realtor.com, Watauga, Texas also gets high scores when it comes to the Human Rights Campaign’s Municipal Equality Index (MEI), which scores how cities support LGBT people who live and work in the community.


2. 80922: Colorado Springs, Colorado

  • Average days on the market: 15 days, about 19 days faster than the rest of El Paso County
  • Median list price: $297,811
  • Home ownership rate for all households: 80%
  • Home ownership rate for millennials: 68%

Colorado Springs offers affordable housing compared to Denver. The United States Air Force Academy and UC Memorial Hospital North are two major employers in the area.


1. 49508: Kentwood, Michigan

  • Average days on the market: 14 days, 52 days faster than the rest of the U.S.
  • Median list price: $193,168

This area is popular for its affordable homes and easy commute to Grand Rapids. Some of the major employers in this area include Spectrum Health, Meijer, and Mercy General Health Partners.
