The Baltic Dry Index Continues an Incredible Rally

The Baltic Dry Index advanced 0.971% or 17 points to settle at 1,767. The BDI has rallied over 35% in the past month!

1) Hurtigruten ASA named Asta Lassesen, currently a treasurer at the firm, a new CFO starting January 1, 2012. She will replace Anders Olstad who has been holding this title since September 2009.

2) Global Carriers Berhad and PT Humpuss Intermoda Transportasi Tbk are negotiating a joint venture that will provide marine transportation services in Malaysia and Indonesia. The memorandum of understanding has been signed.

3) Amalgamation between Floatel International Limited and Aqua Pellentesque Ltd. Was approved by the special general shareholders meeting of Floatel. Floatel will delist on September 12.
