The Baltic Dry Index is Trending

Shipping by sea became a bit more expensive Thursday. The Baltic Dry Index 0.693% or 10 points to settle at 1,453. That comes after a 15 point rise on Wednesday.

2) Marco Polo Marine Ltd was awarded a ship-building contract by an Indonesian firm. The contract is for 5 barges worth SGD10 million.

3) PT Trada Maritime Tbk raised its share count to 8,753,478,625 through exercised warrants.

4) ATI Corp. got a new largest shareholder which is a Japanese company owning 35.58% of voting rights. The former biggest shareholder decreased its stake from 44.22%to 8.64%.
