The New Rat Pack?

The Guardian has a nice picture show about the major players in the recent bailout crisis entitled “Men who made £1bn as banks were bailed out.”

Stan O’Neal, Merrill Lynch
Total remuneration: £196.7m (since 1999 or during length of service)
Bank market capitalisation (August 2007): £30.9bn
Now: Merrill Lynch bought by Bank of America
Credit crunch hits (since August 2007): £60.5bn

(1.0 GBP is about 1.6 USD according XE.com)

Regarding the twelve men pictured, the Guardian writes (an understatement) “as their banks took huge risks, these men took huge salaries.”

Perhaps “Dirty Dozen” would be more fitting.
