The Top 10 Best Selling Cars In America

The earthquake in Japan (NYSE:EWJ) and high gas prices dramatically affected April car sales, according to Cars.com. There was an increase in sales of high-efficiency cars, and American and Korean (NYSE:EWY) makers.

Hyundai and Chevrolet (NYSE:GM) had the best April, Hyundai claiming two spots on the best seller list, and Chevy claiming three. For the first time in at least a year, Japanese car makers did not control at least half of the top selling cars list.

A newcomer, the Chevy Cruze, also made the list, outselling all of its competitors except the Honda Civic (NYSE:HMC).
