Top Executives Leave Research In Motion

Research in Motion’s (NASDAQ:RIMM) troubles continue — this time on the staffing front. According to Crackberry.com, three more executives have quit the smartphone maker.

The executives who have left include Jeff McDowell, RIM’s SVP of Platform Marketing and Alliances and Mike Kirkup, the Sr. Director of Developer Relations left earlier and the latest to quit is Tyler Lessard, VP of Global Alliances and Dev Relations.

In the marketplace, Best Buy (NYSE:BBY) has slashed the RIM playbook price to only $299, as a response to Amazon’s (NASDAQ:AMZN) Kindle Fire launch.

Research in Motion’s (NASDAQ:RIMM) stock is trading at $21.16 today, down 3.37%. Shares are down 63.6% in one year. The stock’s trading range for the year is between $20.41 and $71.54.
