Pfizer Inc. (NYSE:PFE): The company says “We remain on-track with our timeline of finalizing strategic decisions for the Animal Health and Nutrition businesses this year and continue to expect that any separation of these businesses from Pfizer will occur between July 2012 and July 2013.” About six companies are interested in buying a stake in Turkish drugmaker Mustafa Nevzat Ilac Sanayii AS in a deal that could be worth $1B, sources say, including GlaxoSmithKline (NYSE:GSK), Eli Lilly (NYSE:LLY) and Pfizer (NYSE:PFE), reports Bloomberg Businessweek. Shares of Pfizer Inc. are trading 0.14% lower today.
Archer Daniels Midland Company (NYSE:ADM): Worldwide demand for crops and agricultural products continues to grow at a stable rate. The South American harvest is beginning and is expected to help maintain adequate global soybean supplies. With adequate global crop supplies and a smaller U.S. crop last year, the U.S. lost export volumes. Global protein meal demand continues to grow, led by Asia, but crush margins, while improved, remain weak. U.S. ethanol margins are weak, with excess production amid reduced exports. U.S. corn sweetener capacity remains tight, driven by strong export demand. Shares of Archer Daniels Midland Company are trading 4.34% lower today.
ARM Holdings plc (NASDAQ:ARMH): The company said, “For full-year 2012, the global macro-economic situation remains uncertain and is likely to influence consumer and enterprise spending, thereby potentially impacting semiconductor revenues and industry confidence. Assuming the macroeconomic situation does not deteriorate significantly, we expect group dollar revenues for the full-year to be at least in line with current market expectations of just over $860M.” Shares of ARM Holdings plc are trading 3.98% higher today.
