Toyota Flooded with Orders for Aqua

As orders pour in for Toyota Motor Corp’s (NYSE:TM)¬†Aqua compact hybrid, the Japanese automaker ups its 2012 manufacturing target for the car 30 percent to 320,000 units from its earlier goal of 240,000 units, the Nikkei reported, according to Reuters.

In the one month since its launch, the company has already received orders for more than 110,000 units of the Aqua, which sells in Japan for 1.69 million yen, or $21,700, the story said.
