Transportation Sector Review: JetBlue’s Traffic Fails to Inspire Investors

Golar LNG Limited (NASDAQ:GLNG): Goldman cuts shares from Buy to Neutral and removes Golar from its Conviction List, causing shares to dip. This all despite the firm citing a rise in LNG spot shipping rates and better relative value in other peer names. The shares closed at $44.04, down $3.53, or 7.42%, on the day. Its market capitalization is $3.53 billion.

JetBlue Airways Corp. (NASDAQ:JBLU) falls after its December traffic rose 14.3% Y/Y, trailing capacity growth of 17.1%. This gap causes JetBlue’s load factor to fall 190 bps to 80.2% from the year-ago period. In November, JetBlue’s traffic growth had easily outpaced its capacity growth. The shares closed at $5.68, down $0.24, or 4.05%, on the day. Its market capitalization is $1.69 billion.
