Utilities Sector Review: NiSource 4Q, Clean Energy Teams Up with Navistar

Clean Energy Fuels Corp. (NASDAQ:CLNE) has signed a strategic joint marketing and fueling agreement with Navistar International (NYSE:NAV), global truck and engine manufacturer. Clean Energy will provide a comprehensive CNG/LNG fueling solution designed to meet Navistar customer demands and bring new customers into the natural gas market. Specifically, Clean Energy will work with Navistar and its customers to provide truck lessees with fueling contracts whose fuel cost savings help to lower overall costs. Clean Energy also expects to participate with Navistar in selected trucking industry exhibitions and provide assistance on dealer outreach and education on fueling issues.

The shares closed at $15.41, up $0.45, or 3.01%, on the day. Its market capitalization is $1.08 billion.

American Electric Power (NYSE:AEP) has begun commercial operation of the Dresden natural gas-fired power plant, a nominal 580-megawatt combined-cycle generating unit. With the start-up of the Dresden plant, AEP has added more than 4,800 megawatts of natural gas-fired capacity to its generating fleet in the past decade. Natural gas accounts for 24% of AEP’s total generating capacity, the company said.

The shares closed at $39.40, down $0.16, or 0.4%, on the day. Its market capitalization is $19.03 billion.

NiSource Inc. (NYSE:NI) reported Q4 revenue $1.49B vs. consensus $1.54B.

The shares closed at $23.45, up $0.72, or 3.17%, on the day. Its market capitalization is $6.59 billion.
