Verizon Is Hiring 120 Retail Employees in South Carolina and 2 Other Dow Movers to Watch

Verizon said that it will hire 120 full-time customer specialists and retail employees by the end of this year, with the positions to be based in South Carolina. The company said the available jobs offer highly competitive salaries and benefits such as health care coverage that starts on the first day of employment, as well as participation in the firm’s 401k program with a dollar-for-dollar match of as much as 6 percent of the employee’s salary contribution. Further, employees are eligible for tuition reimbursement, adoption assistance, and annual bonuses.

Chevron Technology Ventures LLC on Tuesday announced that it debuted CTV Fund V, a $90 million venture capital fund to invest in early to mid-stage firms and in limited partnership funds. Investments from the fund center on businesses that are developing emerging technologies with the potential to improve Chevron’s oil and gas base business performance or create new opportunities for growth.


Pfizer Inc. (NYSE:PFE): Current price $28.89

Pfizer announced Tuesday that 20 abstracts for Xeljanz (tofacitinib citrate), the first in a new class for treating rheumatoid arthritis, oral Janus kinase inhibitors, will be presented at the American College of Rheumatology/Association of Rheumatology Health Professionals 2013 Annual Meeting, which will be held October 25-30 in San Diego, California. Xeljanz is cleared in the United States for the treatment of adults with moderately to severely active rheumatoid arthritis who have had an inadequate response or intolerance to methotrexate at a dose of 5mg tablet twice daily.
