Walt Disney Co.’s (NYSE:DIS) ABC was the winner in the top prime time ratings on Monday with its popular “Dancing With the Stars.” The show grabbed 14.6 million viewers according to preliminary Nielsen (NYSE:NLSN) figures.
CBS (NYSE:CBS) followed with 13 million viewers and from its “Two and a Half Men” series, the network had the top spot in the highly desired 18-49 age group with a 7.2 rating. NBC (NASDAQ:CMCSA) had a disappointing evening with its highly touted “The Playboy Club” which drew 3.9 million viewers against time slot competitors “Castle” on ABC and the “Hawaii Five-O” remake on CBS.
Walt Disney’s stock (NYSE:DIS) is up 4.42% to $31.64 on the news. Shares are down 15.65% year to date. The stock has traded in a 52-week range between $29.05 and $44.34.
