Ford Motor (NYSE:F) reported a healthy March sales increase of 6 percent mainly due to its redesigned Fusion sedan, Escape SUV, and its truck models. Both Fusion and Escape had their best month of sales and best quarter ever, Ford reported, and the Explorer SUV increased 33 percent from last year, posting its best month since the redesign in 2010. F-series truck also saw an increase, up 16 percent, tallying the best first quarter since 2007, which is when the auto slump began.
