Will General Motors’ Plans For The Cadillac Make These Top Institutional Shareholders Take Notice?

General Motors Corporation (NYSE:GM) is planning to roll out 10 crossover and car models for its Cadillac brand by 2016. An ELR hybrid may launch by the end of 2013, while later down the road, a Cadillac small car could be GM’s answer to BMW’s 1-Series, says Slashgear. The strategy is aimed at reviving flagging sales in the United States and establishing Cadillac as a global luxury brand, a fact confirmed by Cadillac Global’s vice president Bob Ferguson at the Detroit Auto Show. “We’re saying it over and over and over that we want Cadillac to be a truly global luxury brand. We have the core of a very good product set now and we’re working hard at examining the options to make it even better. You can expect a more robust lineup.”

Will General Motors Corporation’s shareholders increase their holdings? They reported owning a total of 7.977 million shares on 12/31/2012. The shares closed at $28.83 on 12/31/2012.
