These stocks are generating lots of motion this morning:
1) Nike (NYSE:NKE) up big (4.63%) pre-market today, extending the run from yesterday after-hours when the company released its earnings for the fourth quarter and projections for the fiscal year 2011. Lots of encouraging data from the Nike earnings including EPS of $1.24/share that tops analyst estimates by a large margin, a 14% hike in revenue, and a 15% growth in future orders of NKE brand goods. 2) Accenture (NYSE:ACN) climbs nearly 6% after Standard & Poor’s said the consulting company would replace Marshall & IIsley Corp. on the S&P 500 Index after the close next Tuesday. Barclay’s (NYSE:BCS) currently holds an overweight rating on the business with a price target of $67.
3) Alcatal-Lucent (NYSE:ALU) posing sizable gains of 3.22% this morning on news that the company will hold a press conference to “announce a groundbreaking innovation in Internet Protocol technology which will advance the future performance of the Internet.” If you’re up for a laugh this morning check out this ridiculously cheesy trailer the company put out.
4) Microsoft (NASDAQ:MSFT) after making strides during regular hours yesterday, the company is up again this morning (.60%) mostly on hype surrounding its less top-secret press conference.
