Xbox Live Coming to Apple and Android?

Microsoft (NASDAQ:MSFT) loyalists are likely to sniff, “Et tu Xbox?” when they hear this one.

Apparently a recent Microsoft vacancy ad provides a large hint the Xbox franchise is likely to expand its integration with phones from the current ‘Windows Phone only’ to Apple’s (NASDAQ:AAPL) iOS and Google (NASDAQ:GOOG) Android phones. Not surprising, considering the global domination by these operating systems that the ad forgets to mention Research in Motion (NASDAQ:RIMM) and HP’s (NYSE:HPQ) WebOS!

The ad in question required experience in development of Windows Phone, iOS and Android. It also said, “…we work closely with console software team and Xbox LIVE services team to bring the latest and greatest gaming and entertainment experience to mobile platforms including Windows Phone, iOS and other mobile platforms.”

That probably says it loud and clear that you could soon enjoy the Xbox Live experience on your Apple or Android phone.
