The Slaton sisters are at odds in the new season of 1000-lb Sisters

Tammy and Amy Slaton return to TLC in January 2026 with all-new episodes of their reality series. Things between the sisters and one-time besties are tense following their explosive fight at the end of season 7.

Now, Amy is preparing for her “haunted” Halloween wedding to fiancé Brian. But Tammy and the rest of the family aren’t on board with Amy’s spooky plans for her big day, which is leading to some serious drama.

“My family, they don’t want nothing to do with [my wedding],” Amy says in the just-released teaser for 1000-lb Sisters Season 8. “And neither does ‘Queen Tammy,’” she adds, making air quotes with her fingers.

Tammy is upset about the growing distance between her and her sister.

“It feels like we’re drifting apart,” Tammy tells a producer. “She used to be my best friend.”

Now, it’s looking like Tammy and Amy might not be able to work through their differences. Tammy is out as maid of honor at Amy’s upcoming nuptials, in part because she called her sister “a deadbeat mom,” another family member explains.

“I can’t handle her toxic *ss no more,” a tearful Amy says during a sit-down with her siblings. “I’m done.”

Brother Chris Combs tries to play peacemaker.

“We really need to kind of get it smoothed over,” he tells Amy. “Families are supposed to pull together.”

But his pleas fall on deaf ears.

“I’m not gonna sit here and have you feed me this bologna when I don’t like bologna,” Amy replies.

Tammy Slaton thinks her girlfriend might propose

Tammy and Amy’s ongoing feud has resulted in a “lively” family group chat, sister Misty Wentworth says in the teaser.

“Every other word’s an F-bomb,” Chris chimes in.

But it’s not all negativity for the Slaton sisters. Tammy continues to thrive following her successful weight-loss and skin removal surgery. She’s happily in love with her girlfriend Andrea and thinking about their future together.

“I wonder if she’s going to ask me to marry her,” she says. She’s also starting to “figure out what I want to do in life” and pursuing new opportunities. That includes volunteering at an animal shelter with some seriously adorable pets.

Meanwhile, Amy knows she needs to step up and be better following some of her past drama, including a high-profile arrest at a Tennessee animal park.

“I am trying to learn from my mistakes,” she says. “I’m becoming an adult for once.”

1000-lb Sisters premieres Tuesday, January 6 at 9 p.m. ET/PT on TLC.
