In a recent post on X (formerly Twitter), Justin Bieber railed against a feature on his iPhone. The singer admitted to getting more than a little annoyed when he accidentally hits the dictation button in iMessage. He wrote that it infuriated him to the point of violence, and many people say they are surprised to find themselves agreeing with him.

Justin Bieber recently made an irritable post about his iPhone

Bieber recently made his 89.8 million followers on X aware of his beef with an iMessage feature. The dictation button allows people to speak out their messages. When someone hits it, though, it pauses any music or podcasts they might be listening to.

“If I hit this dictation button after sending a text and it beeps and stops my music one more time, I’m gonna find everyone at apple and put them in a rear naked choke hold,” Bieber wrote in his post. “Even if I turn off dictation I somehow hit the voice note thing. The send button should not have multiple functions in the same spot.”

The post has picked up 126,000 likes on the social media platform.

Many people agree with Justin Bieber’s post

Bieber is a frequent social media user, and a number of his posts have resulted in backlash. People agree with this one, though.

“I could not agree more and I’m so happy he’s advocating for us voice note haters,” wrote one Reddit user.

Even people who don’t like Bieber said they agreed with him on this.

“[E]ven a broken clock is right twice a day,” wrote another person. “It is so f***ing annoying and I have not once sent a voice message or dictated anything, I don’t know why I keep hitting that button or it keeps going off.”

“I never thought I would agree with a Justin post but here we are, that damn button…” noted another person.

“You know what. I agree with him here,” added someone else. “Perhaps we really can all find some sort of common ground. Society is healing.”

People noted that this was what they’d post about if they were celebrities.

“This is the kind of random petty beef I’d be posting about if I was a celeb,” one person wrote.

His social media posts tend to land him in hot water

Bieber’s reception on social media this year has been mixed. Some fans were excited about his album announcements and posts about his wife and son. Still, some posts have infuriated his followers. In May, Hailey Bieber was on the cover of Vogue. To celebrate her, Bieber posted about a time he told her she’d never achieve this.

“Yo this reminds me when Hailey and I got into a huge fight,” he wrote. “I told hails that she would never be on the cover of vogue.”

While he acknowledged that it was “so mean,” he said he felt “disrespected” and wanted to “get even.” Unsurprisingly, the post received immediate backlash. Bieber later changed the caption to a series of emojis.
