KB Homes (NYSE:KBH) may be doing the right things judging from its results: home deliveries were higher by 2 percent y-on-y; average selling prices up 9 percent y-on-y with the West Coast being the major contributor (+33 percent) while Central dragged (-8 percent); order backlogs were higher at 2,962 homes compared to 2,422 homes; though net orders climbed 3 percent y-on-y, valuations rose 18 percent.

According to General Electric (NYSE:GE) officials, a contractor’s employee was killed during maintenance operations at GE Energy’s Pittsburgh Servicing Center in West Mifflin, about five miles east of the city. Details of the accident have not yet been released.
