The Motley Fool says that Google has updated Gmail with a more convenient Google calendar scheduling, and now users will see dates and times in their emails as lightly underlined. According to the company, when they click underlined date and time, users can quickly schedule an event like  a conference call or lunch date on Google Calendar without leaving Gmail. beyond that, users can preview the day’s schedule and change the title, date, or time of the event. During the next week, Google will debutt this feature to everyone with the English language and soon, they willl add the functionality to other languages.

Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT): Closing price $33.49

It is thought that a forthcoming Microsoft tablet will feature a 7.5-inch display, as the relatively new tablet maker looks to shrink both size and price, says NPD DisplaySearch. Analyst Richard Shim commented that ”From the supply chain side, we’re seeing the panel specifications, the touch module, the mass production schedule being made,” to CNET Thursday, who also said that the tablet is expected to employ a 7.5-inch panel with 1,400×1,050 resolution, which comes to a respectable pixel density of 233 pixels per inch, higher than the Nexus 7 and Apple’s iPad Mini. According to Shim, ”Mass production is first quarter 2014. Apparently, pretty significant volume. Multiple millions.”

TripAdvisor (NASDAQ:TRIP): Closing price $55.30

On Friday, TripAdvisor reported it has purchased the key technology and talent from CruiseWise, the former online cruise booking agency. The team and non-transactional functionality will be joined into the online cruise guide, Cruise Critic, which is a a TripAdvisor brand. Financials of the transaction were not divulged.

Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL): Closing price $449.98

It is expected that Apple will contract Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (NASDAQ:TSMC) to make all of the application processors used in the 2014 model of its iPhone set to be introduced in the second half of the year, according to industry sources, who added that to fulfill the huge demand from Apple, TSMC has begun the equipment move-in for the phase-5 facility of its 12-inch fab, located in southern Taiwan. The Fab 14, Phase 5 facility will be ready for production by the end of the year, said the sources, who explained that Samsung Electronics, which makes APs for the existing iPhones, will still manufacture chips for the upcoming model set to be released in the second half of 2013.
