Sources to The New York Post say that Yahoo! Finance is next in line for a remake as part of Chief Executive Marissa Mayer’s “grand mobile strategy,” as Yahoo! reconfigures its popular finance product, which provides stock updates and money news. Finance is reportedly receiving the full mobile treatment, similar to the one Yahoo! developers conducted on its other number-one property, Weather, with an updated, highly stylized application. The most recent Weather app was released Thursday on Android phones, some months after it was redesigned and debuted on Apple’s iOS. It was not clear as to when the new Yahoo! Finance will be ready.

Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL): Closing price $501.74

It appears that Apple is ramping up its hiring in China. There are presently over two hundred openings in China on the professional network site LinkedIn — and some of the notable China-based jobs include a request for an environmental affairs program manager, a security specialist, and a store specialist. The environmental affairs program manager will be based in Beijing. According to the job description, the candidate must “ensure that Apple’s products and processes meet and surpass regional and national environmental regulatory requirements.”

Nokia Corp. (NYSE:NOK): Closing price $4.13

Nokia intends to debut its first Windows RT tablet in September. Inside sources say that Nokia’s plans were revealed to The Verge that the firm will reveal its tablet at a special event in New York next month. Nokia has been flirting with developers for the event, which is tentatively set for September 26. It is thought that Nokia will unveil a tablet, presently codenamed Vanquish, which contains Qualcomm’s quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor and Windows RT. Nokia’s tablet will have LTE support and be made available on AT&T in the United States.

Vringo Inc. (NASDAQ:VRNG): Closing price $3.38

Vringo shares close up 4 percent Friday on word that a court filing said that Vringo is entitled to post-judgment royalty in a case against AOL, Google, and others. The court set in place an ongoing royalty rate base of 20.9 percent with a ruling that states in part that, “The court finds that I/P Engine is entitled to an award of a post-judgment royalty. However, additional discovery and briefing is necessary to determine the precise nature of the royalty. Accordingly I/P Engine’s motion to granted in part and deferred in part.”
