Via Apple Insider, the analyst predicts that Apple will unveil a new 13-inch Retina MacBook Pro that wil feature a 1080p FaceTime high-definition camera. The current MacBook Pro model has a 720p camera. Cho also believes that the new MacBook Pro will have a thinner chassis.

However, Apple will retain the current size profile for the MacBook Air. Instead of a slimmer chassis, the MacBook Air will get an additional microphone similar to the current model of MacBook Pro.

Cho has already predicted that the new MacBooks will be upgraded with Intel’s (NASDAQ:INTC) new Haswell series of chips. However, Cho now believes that the lower-end MacBook Pro that doesn’t have a Retina display will not include the upgraded chip.

Regarding the Haswell CPUs, Cho states, “We think Apple will discontinue the upgrade of MacBook Pro’s CPU to Haswell this year, basically because now neither hard disk drive nor optical disc drive creates a better user experience. While we expect Apple to continue retailing Ivy Bridge-supported MacBook Pro, this product line will likely be withdrawn from the spotlight going forward.”

This year’s WWDC runs from Monday, June 10 until Friday, June 14. WWDC events typically begin with a keynote presentation that gives attendees their first glimpses of any new Apple products.
