Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL) chief Tim Cook, quoted when speaking at the Goldman conference, answered (predictably) the first question regarding the company’s cash: “Apple doesn’t have a depression-era mentality.” He points to Apple’s massive investments in CapEx and plans to return $45 billion to shareholders through a combination of dividends and buybacks. “It’s an incredible privilege where we can seriously consider returning additional cash to our shareholders. The management team and the board are in very active discussions. That’s what our shareholders want.”

Fox Networks (NASDAQ:NWS) and Comcast Corporation (NASDAQ:CMCSAagree on a new distribution arrangement that will deliver Fox’s content covering entertainment, sports and local news to nearly 22 million Comcast Xfinity TV customers on their computers, smartphones, tablets, gaming consoles and televisions. Though financial terms were not disclosed, the agreement maps out collaboration on new multi platform offerings to take advantage of new technologies and programming during the currency of the deal.
