Ford Upgrades 2014 C-MAX Hybrid and 2 More Heavily Traded Stocks to Follow

The iconic automaker says that it is upgrading its 2014 C-MAX Hybrid, which will should be available in December, as the company wants the top rank in the hybrid market with fuel efficient vehicles. The new version of the Hybrid offers improved fuel efficiency, affording greater satisfaction to its customers. It also features upgraded powertrain software along with favorable hardware changes. The hardware alterations include modifications in the gearing, which will allow the transmission drive ratio to be more efficient. Other changes include a new hood seal, pillar moldings, front and rear tire deflectors, and the addition of rear lift gate deflectors, which will enhance the aerodynamics of the vehicle.


Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL): Current price $507.74

A Monday report in The Wall Street Journal says that Apple intends to have its principal manufacturing partner in China commence shipping two new iPhone models early in September. The company has asked Hon Hai Precision to begin shipping a new high-end version of the iPhone along with a lower-end version created for emerging markets. Prior reports said that Apple would conduct its launch event for the new iPhones on September 10 and the firm has typically began selling its new devices within two weeks of the launches.


Supernus Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (NASDAQ:SUPN): Current price $6.90

The specialty pharmaceutical firm received a final approval from the FDA for Trokendi XR, which is a novel once-daily extended release formulation of topiramate for the treatment of epilepsy. Supernus expects to debut the product and make it available in pharmacies during the next few weeks. The approval letter said that the FDA has concluded its review of the application and that Trokendi XR is cleared effective August 16 for use as recommended in the agreed-upon labeling.
