Good Technology, which tracks enterprise smartphone and tablet PC activations, has released their latest quarterly figures. The data shows Google (NASDAQ:GOOG) Android phones accounted for 39% of activations, up from 33% in the previous quarter. On the other hand, Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL) iPhone activations were down to 61% from 66% in the previous quarter.
According to Good Technology, the drop in iPhone activations is mainly due to customers putting off iPhone purchases for the much anticipated iPhone 4S.
On the tablets front, the Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL) iPad swept the show, making up 96% of all tablet activations.
