Leaks Galore: More iPhone 5S Components

Do the latest leaked photos of some iPhone 5S components confirm the existence of two different new iPhone models? As the expected September debut date for Apple’s (NASDAQ:AAPL) next generation of iPhone draws nearer, more photos of alleged iPhone 5S parts have been surfacing online.

The latest leaked photos come courtesy of the Czech-language site LetemSvetemApplem.eu. The photos supposedly show the components for the iPhone 5S’s front camera, home button, and vibrating motor.

Although photos of the purported iPhone 5S home button component were posted on the website of Japan-based retailer Moumantai last month, it appears the home button component in these photos is quite different. This could suggest that Apple is preparing to release two different models of iPhone, or it could simply be incorrect information.

The vibrating motor component appears to utilize two counterweights. Apple insider notes that a previous component photo leak from Japanese website Macotakara suggested that this “dual-head format” was created for the low-cost iPhone.

The Czech website also claims that the components are printed with specific serial numbers that suggest the parts are intended for an iPhone 5S that will be distributed exclusively in the Czech Republic. The authors seem to think that this confirms the authenticity of the parts. They also state that this confirms that Apple will “distribute iPhone 5s in the Czech Republic in the first wave immediately after the distribution in the USA.”
